Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Health and Safety Substitute to join our team at The International School. As a Health and Safety Substitute, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Front Desk teams to ensure seamless task completion in the absence of the Health & Safety Coordinator.
  • Respond to emergency situations and administer first aid as needed.
  • Manage the health and safety of students and staff, including reviewing health and safety plans and following detailed instructions.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the school administration.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with young children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and assess emergency situations effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as an EMT, Medical Assistant, or LVN.
  • Bilingual: fluency in written and spoken English and any of the languages taught at the school (Spanish, Japanese, or Chinese).
  • Comfortable working in an international community.
Working Conditions

This position may require working in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week during peak activity periods.
