Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing principles and the ability to deliver high-quality patient care.

About the Role

We are seeking an LPN to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as ordered
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitoring resident health and well-being, identifying potential issues, and taking corrective action as needed
  • Communicating effectively with residents, family members, and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent customer service
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • An associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
  • A valid LPN license in good standing
  • IV therapy/management skills, if required by the facility
