About the Role

This position requires a dedicated and compassionate nurse who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct patient care through the development and implementation of ongoing systems and practices that promote and maintain quality nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Radiology Department.

The salary for this position is approximately $95,000 per year, based on national averages for nurses with similar experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Providing patient care through the development and implementation of ongoing systems and practices that promote and maintain quality nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Radiology Department
  • Checking and verifying vital signs, meds, NPO status, lab results, and medical history
  • Inserting and removing intravenous lines, as well as administering conscious sedation drugs and other medications
  • Monitoring patient patterns and vital signs during the procedure
  • Overseeing the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Providing post-procedure monitoring: observing for signs and symptoms of complications, such as bleeding from the puncture site, pain, and/or changes in mental status or vital signs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license
  • Experience working in a radiology department
  • Knowledge of diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
