Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Specialist to join our rehabilitation team at Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Specialist will be responsible for providing hands-on patient care, assisting with daily activities, and promoting independence. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide morning and evening care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing patients as needed
  • Assist patients with meals, serving and removing food trays, and feeding patients if necessary
  • Answer patient call lights, anticipate needs, and make rounds to assigned patients
  • Assist licensed nursing staff with treatment procedures and report any changes observed in patient condition or behavior
  • Perform other duties as assigned by licensed nursing staff
Requirements:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Minimum 6 months experience in an acute or long-term facility
  • CPR/BCLS Certification
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
