Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Business Tax practice at RSM US LLP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional tax advisory services to our clients, helping them navigate complex tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Advise clients on tax planning strategies, including succession planning, wealth transfer planning, and tax compliance
- Manage and oversee engagement teams focused on Partnership, S corporation, or C Corporation taxation, as well as Individual and Fiduciary taxation
- Collaborate with RSM specialists on Estate and Gift planning, State and Local Taxation, and International Taxation
- Communicate complex tax information to clients in a clear and concise manner, ensuring effective risk management for both clients and the firm
- Provide leadership, training, and career mentorship to staff and supervisor-level team members, including serving as a career advisor and providing timely performance feedback
- Drive growth opportunities with existing clients and prospects, developing and sustaining strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors
- Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law, ensuring compliance with firm policies and professional standards
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a business-related field
- CPA license in one's principal place of business/home state, licensed J.D. or Enrolled Agent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in public accounting with an emphasis on taxation, including experience in managing client engagements
- Proficient in entity (Partnership, S Corporation, or C Corporation) and Individual Taxation
- Familiar with Fiduciary, Gift, and Estate Taxation
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to work in a collaborative team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- LL.M. in taxation and/or Master's in Taxation
- Experience with private client or business taxation with a desire to grow skills in the Private Company arena
- Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, industry specialization a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience in dealing with international tax matters a plus

The salary range for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions, including education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
