We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Equiliem. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will assist physicians with examinations and treatments, maintain accurate patient records, and provide administrative support as needed.

">

Responsibilities

">
  • Maintain patient flow during clinic hours, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our patients.">
  • Document patient information accurately, including review of systems, vital signs, medical history, and medication lists.">
  • Prepare patient charts for visits by scanning, abstracting, and reviewing relevant medical records.">
  • Assist with training new employees and act as a Super User for Electronic Medical Record systems.">
  • Refill medications, pre-authorize prescriptions, and communicate with patients, pharmacies, and insurance companies as necessary.">
  • Maintain recording of patient samples, order medical supplies, and dispose of expired medications.">
  • Operate EKGs, cardiac monitors, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests and perform clinical duties such as administering vaccinations, phlebotomy, and cast removal.">
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and protecting patient confidentiality.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, EMR, and scheduling systems.">
  • Strong verbal and social skills to facilitate working respectfully with patients, physicians, visitors, co-workers, and drug reps.">
  • Ability and willingness to travel to other physician offices as requested or needed.">
  • Two to five years of Medical Assistant or other relevant experience, preferably in different care settings.">
  • Complementary clinical skills such as phlebotomy, performing EKGs, stitches removal, splinting, etc.">
