Job Summary

Urban Air Cedar Park is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our team and drive success in the entertainment and leisure industry. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for motivating and developing our staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • People
    • Hire, train, and mentor staff to develop their skills and provide exceptional customer service
    • Cultivate a positive team environment and implement staff training programs
    • Assist in selecting and developing Area Leads and Certified Trainers for internal promotability
    • Lead and influence management staff through effective motivation and leverage individual strengths
    • Ensure execution of employee recognition and incentive programs
    • Maintain a strong community presence through partnerships with local organizations
  • Operations
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for guests and staff
    • Responsible for all aspects of the operation, including entertainment, food, beverage, attractions, and property
    • Continuously improve operational execution through attention to detail and adherence to operating standards
    • Provide direction to the management team and ensure staff performance at a consistently high level
    • Promote positive employee relations and uphold operation standards
    • Assist owners with setting goals and hold managers accountable for departmental goals
    • Monitor online reviews to ensure a consistently high standard for guest experience
  • Financials
    • Execute company marketing strategies to drive sales and capitalize business opportunities
    • Maintain systems for fiscal responsibility, including inventory control and proper ordering
    • Ensure staffing levels and management coverage to maximize customer experience while maintaining labor budget
    • Analyze financial reports and develop action plans to grow revenue and control expenses
Qualifications
  • Ability to interact enthusiastically with others
  • Strong character and good judgment in decision making
  • Experience in hospitality, preferably in theme parks, family entertainment centers, hotels, resorts, casinos, or restaurants
  • 3+ years of experience in facility operations and management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop team members and achieve expected store financial results
  • Professional, energetic, self-motivated, and able to motivate others
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Professional grooming and conduct at all times
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and enthusiasm for the business
  • Strong communication skills and ability to establish working relationships with employees, management, and vendors
  • Ability to maintain and project professionalism at all times
  • Can create and communicate a vision for the business
  • Flexible in approach and able to adapt to business and team needs
  • Holds self-accountable for high personal standards of conduct and professionalism
  • Appreciation of diversity and innovative thinking
