We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Costume Design Faculty member to join the University of Maryland School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies (TDPS).

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading costume design instruction, mentoring, and advising in the MFA in Design Program. Additionally, they may teach undergraduate courses and contribute to program, school, college, and university governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead costume design instruction in the MFA in Design Program
  • Mentor and advise students
  • Teach undergraduate courses as needed
  • Contribute to program, school, college, and university governance
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates should have:

  • A strong creative research record
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve national and/or international prominence in their field
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in costume design for live performance
  • Experience as a designer with extensive knowledge of draping and costume crafts

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package is also included.
