Job Description

This internship involves working as a technical intern for large-scale gas infrastructure capital upgrade projects. The successful candidate will primarily aid the Construction Manager and Project Manager in the day-to-day field operations of the Gas Construction team.

  • Reading construction drawings.
  • Reviewing / auditing construction documentation such as layout folders, completion records, bid and dailies etc.
  • Analyzing construction documentation / data and preparing weekly status reports.
  • Visits to job sites.
  • Assist with process improvement through participation in team and project meetings.
  • Assist with restoration processes through support of the restoration team.
  • Coordinate resources with contractors, districts etc.
  • Assist with the monthly forecasting process.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management and graduating between December 2025 and May 2028. A valid driver's license and a safe driving record are also required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
◇ 3.0 GPA
◇ Construction or Project Management related experience.
◇ Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering/construction drawings.

Benefits

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate of $45-$65 per hour (estimated annual salary: $92,800 - $134,400). Full time employees will also receive a retirement program, 401(k) with company match, company paid life insurance, tuition reimbursement and a minimum of 18 days of paid time off per year.
