Gaming Cage Cashier

Job Overview

Objective: The Gaming Cage Cashier is responsible for processing payouts for winning gaming machine tickets, chips, and tokens presented by customers. You will report directly to the Cage Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Cage Manager on duty.

Compensation: $10.00 per hour plus tips. Average tips over three months: $22.74 per hour. This is a part-time position with two available shifts: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM from Saturday to Tuesday, and 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM from Friday to Monday. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Weekly earned wage access is available for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle significant amounts of cash and execute payouts in accordance with casino protocols.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and included in shift packets for auditing purposes.
• Confirm customer signatures for payouts exceeding the predetermined limit before processing.
• Address inquiries from customers and the public regarding gaming procedures and payouts.
• Provide change upon customer request and facilitate exchanges of money, credits, tokens, and tickets.
• Verify customer identification when necessary.
• Authenticate tickets and payout requests.
• Maintain precise records of monetary transactions, authorization forms, and reconciliations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience in managing large volumes of cash.
• Understanding of customer service principles and processes.
• Familiarity with high-volume cash handling policies.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical skills (arithmetic, ratios, proportions, conversions).
