Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist Specialist performs routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures and examinations for radiological diagnosis. This role requires administering radio-pharmaceuticals, operating CT scanners, and providing images and data analysis for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all nuclear medicine procedures and operate related equipment
  • Provide high-quality images, data analysis, and patient information for diagnostic purposes
  • Evaluate images to ensure technical quality and calibration of instrumentation
  • Maintain effective communication with radiologists, patients, and other personnel
  • Perform quality control tasks, set up procedures, maintain schedules, and contribute to department efficiency
  • Ensure patient understanding and safety by educating them about procedures, equipment, and exams
  • Maintain quality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Demonstrate a positive patient experience and share information as necessary
  • Contribute to efficient out-patient operations and maximize productivity of assigned modality
  • Utilize sterile techniques, identify anatomical orientation, and review each examination for technical accuracy
  • Demonstrate teamwork and interact positively with employees to foster a collaborative work environment
  • Meet deadlines, follow through on commitments, and demonstrate accountability, flexibility, and adaptability

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • CNMT certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (PET technologists only)
  • CT Certification within 180 days of hire
  • At least one year of relevant experience

Compensation:$54.95 per hour
