Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing processes and staffing for our Behavioral Health Unit. This is a leadership role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the planning and development of processes and staffing for the Behavioral Health Unit
  • Support the Behavioral Health team in evaluating effective operations, utilization of personnel and supplies, and maintaining a positive and professional atmosphere
  • Demonstrate flexibility, organization, and the ability to function under stressful situations
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal department teams and community partners
  • Promote and advance hospital-community relationships and participate in community affairs
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
  • Provide staff coaching and feedback
  • Assist in investigation and resolution of safety concerns and patient/family grievances
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related or business field, preferred
  • Licensure or ability to obtain licensure when background credentials warrant that such is required
  • Knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, statutes, policies, and procedures, and ability to determine the appropriateness of compliance in situations
Additional Skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Proficient in the use of Lean management practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exercises a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion
