About the Role

Clinical Architecture is a leading healthcare IT innovator, pushing the boundaries of technology to make a meaningful impact. We're seeking an exceptional individual to fill the Director of Software Engineering Operations position in our Indianapolis-based team.

As the head of software engineering operations, you will oversee product development and ensure that our engineering processes are efficient and effective. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation and growth within our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow software development, security, cloud, and product content teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions for healthcare data quality and patient message interoperability.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to establish and implement strategic plans and operational strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with project management, product management, quality assurance, and engineering management teams to plan, prioritize, and coordinate projects and initiatives.
  • Oversight of engineering teams to ensure they meet goals and objectives.
  • Address personnel matters, including recruiting, performance reviews, and performance concerns, in collaboration with the engineering management team.
  • Provide training and mentoring as needed to support team growth and development.
  • Consult with the CEO and executive leadership team to create long-term goals tailored to the organization's needs.
  • Maintain oversight of project progress and timeliness, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Establish and manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and networking.
  • Review project reports to guarantee adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Serve as the company's Cloud Architect/Engineer, responsible for AWS, Google, and Azure expertise.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
  • No less than ten years of relevant experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including paid volunteer time, holidays, PTO, and sabbatical opportunities.
