Job Description:

 

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class A CDL Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our food distribution network, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering food products across assigned routes while adhering to DOT regulations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally to ensure accurate and timely responses to questions.
  • Perform all required safety checks, including pre- and post-trip inspections, to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
  • Report any safety issues or repairs required and follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedules, unload products from the trailer, and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery of items with customers, obtain proper signatures, and collect money (cash or checks) where required.
  • Maintain accurate records of hours of service, enter log information in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements, and perform general housekeeping duties in tractors, loading dock areas, and trailers.

 

Requirements:

  • 12+ months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL A
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift.
