Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the management team within assigned areas. This position may involve working with multiple managers and/or department heads, overseeing the work of entry-level clerical support staff as needed. Key responsibilities include providing departmental administrative support, maintaining calendars, telephones, records, minutes, correspondence, filing, and faxing. Additionally, this role requires performing other duties as necessary.

Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or two years of college required; experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum three years of secretarial, clerical, or administrative experience required, preferably in healthcare, academic, psychiatric, and/or outpatient settings
Key Skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to read, write legibly, speak in English with professional quality, and use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position
  • Ability to think critically, manage multiple assignments effectively, and work well under pressure
