About the Role

The Communications Manager will be an integral part of the school community, working closely with the communications team to develop and implement strategic communications initiatives. This role will support marketing, public relations, and admissions communications efforts, and will be responsible for creating engaging content that showcases the school's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pitch, write, and edit stories about the ECFS community for various channels, including the website, social media, and print publications.
  • Manage editorial strategy and calendar for ECFS's social media channels, including day-to-day social media posts, visual assets, and video content creation.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and engaging content across all channels.
  • Collaborate with faculty, administrators, parents, and students to gather information and insights for content development.
  • Support the development of marketing and communications materials, including brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Editorial experience and expertise, with the ability to edit for clarity and style.
  • Expertise with technology and social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and WordPress.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Positive, receptive, customer-service-oriented attitude.
  • Knowledge of photo/video/audio editing software.
  • Ability to write quickly and effectively in a range of styles for different audiences.
  • Previous experience with web content management systems and web/design technologies.
