The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering and Technical Services function, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building system operations and the performance of various areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

This role involves performing maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems. You will ensure facility and building systems meet or exceed applicable standards. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring all systems operate efficiently and effectively, minimizing downtime and optimizing resource utilization.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement preventive maintenance programs, conduct regular inspections, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. Additionally, you will provide support and guidance to colleagues on best practices and procedures related to building operations and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting equipment, replacing filters, and lubricating moving parts;
  • Conduct thorough investigations into system malfunctions and perform repairs as needed;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement energy management strategies;
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs, reports, and certification documents;
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry developments and best practices.


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, plus 4-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in building maintenance or facilities management;
  • Universal CFC certification is preferred, but not required;
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and other industry-standard software.
