We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Survey Party Chief to join our team at the City of Sacramento California.

Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for leading survey parties in the field, ensuring accurate data collection and timely completion of projects.

About Us: As a department within the City of Sacramento, we are committed to providing excellent public services and infrastructure. Our Engineering Services division is responsible for designing and implementing various projects across the city.

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. This position also includes benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as retirement savings options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead survey parties in the field, ensuring accurate data collection and timely completion of projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and support staff
  • Analyze and interpret geospatial data to inform project decisions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including property owners, contractors, and community groups

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in surveying or geospatial services
  • Proficiency in software applications such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
