Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at UW Medicine Primary Care. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures, contributing to the development and evaluation of radiology processes, and working closely with our team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures, verifying the site of the exam and instructing patients regarding procedures.
  • Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays, following established procedures.
  • Select length and intensity for radiation exposure, adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis.
  • Provide protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Examine radiology images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
  • Deliver images to PACS for reading/interpretation by providers and UW Radiologists.
  • Maintain radiology room stocks, ensuring necessary medical and radiology supplies are available.
  • Clean and make minor adjustments to radiological equipment.
Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved program, registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist/X-ray Technician, before completion of probationary period.
