Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and appraising insurance applications, approving, classifying, or declining them as needed. You will also provide guidance and assistance to our Financial Network and Financial Representatives regarding case underwriting and risk appraisal.

  • You will develop relationships with Financial Advisors and internal partners, building trust and ensuring quality, service, and production goals are met.
  • You will prescreen inquiries, use advanced UW knowledge and expertise to provide the appropriate level of underwriting skill and mentoring to UWs.
  • You will solve complex problems and escalations, model change agility while maintaining mortality and morbidity expectations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Field & Client Experience: Responsible for credible and effective relations and communication with field and customer.
  • Underwriting: Analyzes and appraises a broad range of insurance applications, approves, classifies, or declines them as needed.
  • Solves complex problems and escalations, models change agility while maintaining mortality and morbidity expectations.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree preferred or demonstrated consistent success in prior Underwriting role as evidence by satisfactory case management and quality review.
  • Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience.
  • Analytical skills with an established record to make independent decisions on complex cases and apply sound judgment in the application of rules.

Estimated Salary: $94,400 - $168,800 per year.
