Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team at the Cumberland County Department of Public Health. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will provide critical support to our Epidemiology Clinic, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver medications to patients undergoing treatment for tuberculosis.
  • Assist with reports and maintain records for various programs in the clinic.
  • Support the clinic supervisors and program managers in preparing contract addendums.
  • Maintain supply inventories and standing orders.
  • Obtain vital signs on patients.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of a one-year formal training course in medical office assisting.
  • One year of clerical and health-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (preferred).
