Overview of the Role

St. David's Medical Center is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team in providing exceptional patient care and diagnostic services.

We are a leading healthcare provider in Texas, with a 435-bed facility offering specialized care in various areas, including neurology, cardiology, and orthopedics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures, interpreting physician orders, and practicing safe radiation protection in accordance with hospital guidelines.

Responsibilities of the Position
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures using various equipment, including fluoroscopy, c-arm, and portable units.
  • Interpret physician orders to ensure optimal study results and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist physicians and radiologists in procedures requiring sterile technique.
  • Prepare and administer radiopaque contrast media as needed for radiologic exams.
  • Evaluate patients' conditions prior to and during radiologic procedures.
  • Provide excellent patient care and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • An Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or graduation from an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • A valid license from the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist (R).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
