Bright Light Academy is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Group Supervisor to lead our infants' teaching team. With a strong background in Early Childhood Education, you will be responsible for creating and implementing daily lesson plans and activities that foster a safe and stimulating classroom environment for our youngest learners.

The ideal candidate will have at least an Associate's degree in a related field and two+ years of experience working with young children. You will be part of a collaborative team that values learning and growth, and you will have the opportunity to work closely with parents to support their child's development and progress.

We offer a competitive salary range of $17.50-$19 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for raises based on performance. Our full-time staff enjoy a 4-day work week, paid holidays and PTO, sick pay, annual raises, reduced child care, and more. At Bright Light Academy, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards possible and providing high-quality education to the greater Pittsburgh area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the team to create and implement daily lesson plans and activities
  • Creating a safe and stimulating classroom environment for infants & toddlers
  • Monitoring and engaging with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines
  • Providing individual and group support to children as needed
  • Communicating regularly with parents about their child's development and progress

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Children & Families or another related field
  • Two+ years of experience working with young children
  • Ability to qualify as a Group Supervisor with the Dept. of Human Services
  • Able to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
