At St. Luke's Hospital, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping children overcome physical, mental, and emotional challenges.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients to help them adapt to disabilities. This position requires creativity, adaptability, and independent judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete patient evaluations and develop treatment plans
  • Implement treatment programs and administer treatment at multiple locations
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs)
  • Communicate and document patient information in a timely manner
  • Represent Occupational Therapy in multidisciplinary meetings and participate in program development

Requirements:

  • Four-year Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or Master's Degree preferred
  • CPR certification and successful completion of coursework and clinical affiliations from an accredited occupational therapy educational program

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for up to ninety minutes at a time and stand for thirty to forty-five minutes consecutively
  • Ability to lift/move patients up to 200 lbs. and push/pull patients weighing up to 200 lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally stoop/bend, squat, crouch, kneel, and reach above shoulder level
