We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Aide to join our team at Emerald Nursing & Rehab Mercy, a leading skilled nursing facility committed to providing exceptional care to our residents.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in administering medications, monitoring resident health, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all individuals under our care. This position offers flexibility with scheduling and is ideal for those looking to work on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform resident cares as needed
  • Administer prescribed medications accurately and document appropriately
  • Observe and document changes in residents' conditions, including vital signs and any adverse reactions to medications
  • Maintain a clean and organized medication storage area and adhere to infection control procedures
  • Provide compassionate and respectful assistance to residents, addressing their needs and preferences while fostering a supportive atmosphere
  • Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure residents' needs are met
Requirements:
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant training or coursework in healthcare or medication administration preferred
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or similar environment, preferred but not required
  • Current certification as a Medication Aide (CMA) as required by NE regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
