Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at the Washington Service Center. The successful candidate will perform semi-skilled work in the maintenance, construction, and repair of buildings, equipment, and grounds throughout the ESD.

Salary:

">

The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000 and $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure includes benefits and is based on national averages for similar positions in Oregon.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">
  • ">
  • High school diploma or equivalent">
  • Previous experience working in maintenance positions preferred">
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and community members">
  • Basic knowledge of computer usage and ability to use e-mail, database, spreadsheets, and word processing software">
  • Knowledge of interface with computer-operated control systems strongly preferred">
  • Certificates as determined by the District, including valid CPR/First Aid card, Oregon Driver's License, and Aerial Lift License">
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision">
  • Familiarity with TRANE Synchrony and JCI Metasys software programs preferred">
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deal with multiple variables in various situations">
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods">
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills">
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment">
  • Valid Oregon driver's license required">
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., facilities management, engineering) or equivalent experience preferred">
  • OSHA training certification preferred">
  • CPR/First Aid certification required within six months of hire">
  • Fire extinguisher training certification required within six months of hire">

Work Environment:

The Maintenance Worker will work primarily at the Washington Service Center and may be required to travel to other assigned locations within the four-county area. The work environment will include exposure to physical demands such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy objects; working at heights; and exposure to hazardous materials.
