Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team at Portland General Electric. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the data products to meet business needs, translating business requirements into user stories, and prioritizing these stories for implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate operational needs, problems, and opportunities, contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes and organization.
  • Define scope and business priorities for small-scale changes and may assist in larger-scale scoping exercises.
  • Elicit and discover requirements from operational management and other stakeholders.
  • Specify and document business requirements as directed, ensuring traceability back to source.
  • Analyze requirements for adherence to business objectives and consistency, challenging positively as appropriate.
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, management, or other related field.
  • Typically two or more years in related field. Preferred experience in or knowledge of specific line of business and/or IT environment.
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of business analysis framework.
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of discovery techniques and requirements definition.
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of requirements documentation.
  • Working/Intermediate knowledge of client relationship management techniques and client service models.
  • Working/Intermediate knowledge of business process improvement frameworks.
  • Working/Intermediate knowledge of change management, including opportunity and benefits recognition.
