Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Shop Helper to join our team at our Knoxville, TN location. As a Shop Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shop area and yard, maintaining equipment, and supporting our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain shop equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Manage time efficiently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Track and manage materials and equipment shipments and receipts.
  • Ensure the shop area and yard are clean and well-maintained.
  • Perform technical and mechanical tasks, including welding and torching, as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals.
  • Assist in equipment repairs and maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Utilize basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, to support daily tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Pass pre-employment and random drug screens.
Additional Information

Salary Range: $19 - $22 per hour. Actual salary will be based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
