Substitute Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Substitute Educator to join our team at North Rowan Middle School. As a Substitute Educator, you will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

• Report to the school office at the beginning of the school day to pick up required materials and schedules
• Assume duties of the regular classroom teacher promptly and in accordance with school rules
• Supervise students in out-of-class settings, such as assemblies and lunchrooms
• Implement existing lesson plans in a manner that ensures the integrity of academic time and motivates students to learn and participate
• Provide adequate supervision of students and classroom environment to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students

• Meets state requirements for education qualifications
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language fluently and effectively
• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with District/School staff and students
