Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) for our Urology department is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and promoting positive outcomes. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practice, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for providing compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and protocols.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless coordination with interprofessional teams.
  • Provide education to patients and families on preventative care, disease management, and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct health assessments, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and order necessary tests and treatments.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing and current licensure as an APRN in Texas.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a registered nurse or advanced practice registered nurse in a clinical setting.
  • Current certifications in BLS and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA license (DEA) within six months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in urology or related specialties.
  • Knowledge of current research and evidence-based practices in nursing and healthcare.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
