The Northbrook Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in the heart of Brooksville, Florida. Our facility specializes in short-term rehabilitation and long-term care.

We provide exceptional quality care with specializations in sub-acute orthopedic, cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological rehabilitation. Our highly trained staff is available to assist in accessing community-based services to maintain the continuum of care.

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will perform patient-related activities, including purposeful interventions to maximize independence and health maintenance. Your duties may include assisting the occupational therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.

You will also observe, record, and report reactions and responses related to assigned duties. Additionally, you will assist the therapist in consulting with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals as needed.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Job Summary:

The COTA performs patient-related activities, services may include but are not limited to purposeful activities or interventions to maximize the independence and maintenance of health of any individual who is limited by a physical injury or illness, a cognitive impairment, a psychosocial dysfunction, a mental illness, a developmental or learning disability, or an adverse environmental condition.
