Coast Guard Community Services Command: Recreation Assistant (Youth Services)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Recreation Assistant to join our team at the Coast Guard Community Services Command in Kodiak, AK. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with youth and promoting healthy lifestyles.

As a Recreation Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of recreational programs for youth, including after-school activities, sports leagues, and special events. You will also assist in the management and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring they remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH
  • ASSIST IN THE MANAGEMENT AND UPHOLDING OF OUR FACILITIES
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as needed
Requirements:
  1. Certifications: Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
  2. Experience: At least 1 year experience working with youth, preferably in a recreational setting
  3. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation, education, or a related field preferred
