Job Summary

We are seeking a Supportive Living Assistant to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. As a key member of our care team, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in their daily lives.

Estimated Salary: $13,890 - $14,400 per year, based on a 40-hour workweek and assuming two years of experience in the field. Your salary may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate consumers in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining skills, housekeeping skills, social skills, and community access.
  • Provide direct support and assistance to consumers in training activities as specified in ISPs and activity schedules.
  • Aid in mobility as needed for those using wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
  • Assist in bedroom maintenance and teach housekeeping skills and care of clothing.
  • Assist with meal service, teach dining skills, and promote social skills and personal dignity during meals.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to company policy.

Requirements:
  • A high school education or its equivalent is preferred.
  • Some previous experience in supporting/assisting those with disabilities is preferred.
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Satisfactory completion of criminal background checks as required by federal and/or state laws and any other post-offer, pre-employment screenings as mandated by a governing agency or the company.
