CT Technologist

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at PeaceHealth United General Medical Center in Sedro Woolley, Washington. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized CT procedures, integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.

• Perform most appropriate examination based on patient information through consultation with interpreting physician and/or ordering physician as necessary.
• Provide patient education and instruction prior to and after examination.
• Operate CT scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation of images, and perform quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
• Apply ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self, patient, and visitor.
• Perform interventional procedures applying knowledge of equipment, supplies, and AORN standards.

• Accredited School Required: Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT - Radiography required at time of hire.
• Washington state Radiologic Technologist licensure required at time of hire.
• Recent CT experience preferred.
• Advanced CT certification is required within 1 year of hire.
• BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required at time of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year previous experience preferred.
• Demonstrated venipuncture competency required.
• PACS/RIS knowledge required.
