Job Description

The Engineering Program Manager is a critical role within the Autopilot and Electronic Systems Engineering Team at Tesla. This position is responsible for overseeing the development of the Semi Controller product, ensuring its alignment with Tesla's innovation goals and sustainable energy vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of the Semi Controller product, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Manage product development programs from end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Provide clear input and planning to project teams on schedules, issues, and deliverables related to subsystem and vehicle development.
  • Communicate engineering requirements between Supply Chain and Purchasing to facilitate material planning.
  • Consolidate inputs from across Tesla into executive reviews, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Evolve processes to increase precision and dependability while maintaining agility.
  • Lead teams with strength and confidence through rapid development cycles, changing requirements, and uncertainty.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering leads and managers to set goals and track deliverables.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in product development, ideally with multiple delivered products in medium-to-high volume industry.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering, software development, and mechanical engineering process.
  • Experience in planning activities and vendor management in an engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex development projects and identify critical elements.
  • Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally between engineering, production, and supply chain personnel.

Expected compensation for this position is $88,000 - $300,000/annual salary, depending on level, plus cash and stock awards, and benefits.
