Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Resilient Healthcare.

About the Role

The Physical Therapy Assistant will work closely with our physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care, preparing engaging exercises and activities for patients, providing counseling and consultations, and assisting in direct patient care according to their respective plans of care.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and implement individualized exercise programs for patients under the supervision of licensed physical therapists.
  • Provide educational sessions to patients and their families on proper use of equipment and techniques for optimal recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists to identify areas of progress and challenges for patients.
  • Assist with preparation of exam rooms and equipment to ensure proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed.
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing education courses and professional development opportunities to advance knowledge and skills within the field.
Requirements:
  • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Texas.
  • Proficient in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation.
  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy is required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws.
  • Experienced in working with sensitive and personal patient records and information.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work primarily in a standing position.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, family members, or other staff members.
