Child Welfare Supervisor

About the Role:

This position is responsible for providing direct supervision to case management staff to ensure the delivery of quality services to One Family children, foster parents, and biological families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all child welfare services, including intake, case management, and foster home placements, while monitoring clinical and legal services.
  • Work with the Village Director and other supervisory staff to develop and implement programs to ensure necessary services are provided to One Family children and their families.
  • Provide regular supervision with case management staff and ensure complete, accurate, and current documentation is maintained for all children.
  • Timely completion of all DCFS required paperwork, including 906, 1420, and 1425.
  • Conduct quarterly file reviews and facilitate family and team meetings as needed.
  • Prepare monthly foster care agency performance reports and meet with APT monitors monthly.
  • Monitor foster homes in accordance with DCFS 402 standards and act as liaison to the DCFS Foster Home Licensing Agent.
  • Participate in the agency's annual Foster Parent Law Implementation Plan and develop relationships with DCFS, LANS, and other community agencies.
  • Prepare for and attend required case meetings, ACRs, court dates, and staffing as required.
  • Submit reports as required by the Director of Programs and Services and maintain communication with other staff to ensure coordination of efforts.
  • Complete all mandatory DCFS, agency, and job-specific training and comply with all SOS policies, state, federal, county, and city laws, rules, and regulations.
