Job Description

The Clinical Nutrition Specialist is responsible for providing safe, individualized, and effective medical nutrition therapies to patients, outpatients, and other stakeholders of EPH. This role will work as a key strategic partner within the nutrition department, expanding service lines to better serve the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides individualized medical nutrition therapies to patients as ordered or requested.
  • Leverages counseling concepts and educational resources to promote efficacy and positive behavioral changes.
  • Assesses nutritional needs of patients and works to create sensible, individualized care plans.
  • Monitors data to determine nutritional needs of patients and effectiveness of interventions.
  • Attends interdisciplinary rounds on Med-Surg and serves on committees as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and/or Dietetics.
  • Completion of an approved Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Association accredited internship.
  • Passed the examination to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
