About the Role:

Crane Aerospace and Electronics is seeking a highly skilled Field Services Engineer I to join our team in Lynnwood, WA. As a Field Services Engineer I, you will play a critical role in supporting and resolving product issues quickly, efficiently, and to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and resolve product issues quickly, efficiently, and to customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in engineering design review and testing of products.
  • Provide technical support and training for the end user at customer sites.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by responding to and troubleshooting Airline and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customer technical inquiries.
  • Develop training materials for end user customers and provide onsite and off-site training.
  • Perform detailed failure analysis and write reports.
  • Support in-service evaluations, aircraft certification, and integration testing.
  • Build and maintain various Product Support databases.

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Working knowledge of the airline industry, airline products, airline support requirements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft and shop level maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of MS Projects.
  • Working knowledge of Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • BA or BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related technical discipline; OR Associate's Degree from a two-year college and 4 years of relevant work experience.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
  • As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • FAA Certified Repairman (Airframe & Powerplant license).
  • Foreign language knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access.
  • Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail.
  • May have special circumstances that require work at night or on holidays.
  • May need to be available by phone after work hours.
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing and aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment, including but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps, and any other required PPE.
  • Travel may be required up to 45% - must have no travel restrictions.

Mental/Visual:

  • Use of computer, calculator, filing cabinets.
