Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team at Entergy. As a Drafter, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining Substation/System Protection (relaying) and Transmission Line project drawings, Substation Switching one-lines, and Entergy System Maps in accordance with Transmission drafting and Document Management standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform drafting and document management assignments using AutoCAD version 2006 and above, Raster Design, Inventor, Electrical and Civil 3D Land Development Civil/Survey applications.
  • Create and maintain Substation/System Protection (relaying) and Transmission Line project drawings, Substation Switching one-lines, and Entergy System Maps.
  • Maintain drawing database utilizing the Meridian Document Management toolkit.
  • Support AutoCAD suite of products (Raster Design, Inventor, Electrical, Civil 3D).
  • Support computer hardware and plot/scan equipment.
  • Manage FOC requests & issue asset & station numbers for Substation assets.
  • Track and log assignments utilizing SharePoint and Excel.
  • Manage project tasks in scheduling tool – Primavera.
Requirements
  • Previous drafting and AutoCAD experience.
  • Minimum experience and education requirements vary based on Drafter level (I, II, III, or Sr).
  • Preferred: 2-year technical degree or certification in Computer Aided Drafting.
  • Successful completion of the EEI TECH test.
