Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers medications, including injections and IV therapy, as needed and within the scope of licensure.
  • Provides basic patient care and treatments, such as dressing wounds, performing catheterizations, and applying compresses.
  • Cleans and prepares medical treatment rooms for patient visits.
  • Assembles and uses equipment appropriate to specific medical practices.
  • Enters patient information into the computer accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provides clerical support to patients, including making appointments, booking procedures, obtaining pre-authorizations, and answering telephones.
  • Manages medical inventory and supply ordering based on par levels.
  • Works under the supervision of a physician or Registered Nurse.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of LPN school program.
  • IV and/or phlebotomy skills highly preferred.
