Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Newborn Screening Program. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation of our program by performing complex nursing work under the supervision of the NBS Group Manager. This position requires strong clinical skills, consultative abilities, and effective communication to coordinate follow-up care for infants with critical conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans for newborns diagnosed with genetic disorders or other conditions requiring close monitoring.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination of patient care across settings, including hospitals, clinics, and home-based environments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, families, and community partners to foster trust, promote education, and enhance access to resources.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, establish treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in pediatrics, genetics, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Salary:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
