Job SummaryWe are seeking a geotechnical engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering and experience with project designs, technical proposals, and cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Geotechnical Group and other departments as required.
- Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, plans, technical specifications, and reports.
- Perform geotechnical analyses based on site conditions and requirements.
- Evaluate laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports.
- Review and interpret data and test results.
- Prepare field reports, internal correspondence, and engineering reports.
- Follow company safety standards and provide all required permitting.
- Contact vendors and research literature and regulatory requirements.
- Support field instrumentation and monitoring activities.
- Develop and maintain client relationships and participate in professional organizations.
Requirements:
- B.S. Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering, M.S. preferred.
- 5 to 10 years of related experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
- Ability to meet all pre-employment requirements.
