About the Role
As Director of Resident Care and Wellness, you will lead and inspire a team of care professionals, ensuring our residents receive safe and effective care tailored to their individual needs. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading a team of dedicated care professionals and contributing to strategic decisions and operational excellence.
  • Developing and implementing service plans that honor residents' personal histories, interests, and abilities.
  • Maintaining compliance with state regulations and upholding a safe and welcoming environment for both residents and staff.
  • Providing training and guidance on dementia care practices and other nursing topics to ensure the team is equipped for success.
  • Actively participating in marketing and networking activities to promote our community's programs.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in community-based care, especially in dementia care. You should also possess prior supervisory or management experience in healthcare settings and excel in team member development. Additionally, you should communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive community atmosphere.

Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed nurse (RN, LPN, LVN) with current state nursing license in good standing and valid driver's license with reliable transportation. In-depth knowledge of dementia-care practices, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel), current CPR/First Aid, and Food Handlers credentials are required. You must meet all health-related requirements for state licensure and pass pre-employment screenings, including criminal background check, drug, and TB testing.
