Job Summary

Camp Hanover seeks a skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team for the summer camp season. The ideal candidate will possess certification as either an MD, NP, RN, LPN, or EMT and have experience in providing medical care in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

About Camp Hanover

Camp Hanover is a faith-based summer camp affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). Our mission is to create inclusive community, inspire each other to live in God's love, and equip all people to live out God's call.

We offer day camps and overnight camps for elementary, middle, and high school age youth. Our camp sessions typically last one week, with children arriving on Sunday and leaving the following Saturday.

Compensation and Benefits

The Medical Care Specialist role offers a competitive salary of $**,000 per year, plus room and board during the duration of the summer camp season. Alternate arrangements are available for suitable candidates preferring seasonal full-time or part-time work on a weekly, daily, or hourly basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with check-in of new campers each week
  • Manage medication and treat campers and staff as needed
  • Contact parents in case of emergencies
  • Contribute to the overall well-being of all people at camp

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a medical professional with excellent communication skills and experience working in an outdoor environment. They must be comfortable with physical activity and able to work in a fast-paced setting.
