Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

  • Exemplary Practice and Outcomes:
    • Perform the nursing process, utilizing evidence-based practice and analytical thinking to ensure individualized patient care.
    • Provide relationship-based patient-centered care, adapting service delivery to reflect cultural diversity and patient-specific characteristics.
    • Partner with patients and significant others to set and achieve patient goals, using effective communication methods.
    • Practice using current clinical practice standards.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration:
    • Coordinate safe, quality patient care, promoting the professional care delivery model through diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods.
    • Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration, practicing in a fiscally responsible manner and promoting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
    • Participate in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care.
  • Professional Development and Initiative:
    • Complete initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education.
    • Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses, ensuring a qualified workforce and modeling the professional practice of nursing.
  • Evidence-Based Practice and Research:
    • Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing.
    • Participate in data collection, pose relevant clinical questions, and consult experts to address practice questions.
    • Uphold health care system/organizational policies and procedures, clinical competencies, and professional association standards.
  • Resources and Support:
    • Proactively plan for patient care across the care continuum, using direct patient care to adapt service delivery.
    • Participate in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes.
    • Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in nursing or graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing.
  • Minimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English language, optimize the use of technology to support clinical care, and hold basic computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies using a decisive, composed, and respectful manner.
  • Possess excellent time management skills and practice nursing using evidence and analytical skills.
