Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Oversight: Formulate and execute operational plans for waste management and recycling initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Educational Leadership: Develop programs aimed at increasing awareness and promoting positive changes in solid waste and recycling.
  • Safety Management: Implement safety measures to guarantee a secure working environment for all personnel.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Work alongside governmental agencies, community stakeholders, and internal teams to maintain solid waste standards and necessary permits.
  • Operational Supervision: Manage landfill operations, from waste handling to environmental assessments, ensuring efficiency and regulatory adherence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, coupled with four years of experience in solid waste management, including supervisory roles.
  • Thorough understanding of environmental regulations, soil mechanics, and landfill design and construction.
  • Strong communication abilities, with proficiency in managing budgets, plans, and personnel.
  • Landfill Operator Certification (SWANA) or the ability to obtain it within a year.
