About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Coder to join our team at Dayton Children's Hospital. As an Outpatient Coder, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely diagnosis and procedural coding of emergency department, specialty clinic, inpatient, observation, outpatient surgery, and outpatient ancillary services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and interpret electronic medical documentation to assign and report appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes for clean claim submission.
  • Work under general supervision of the Coding Manager to support Dayton Children's goals for reimbursement.
Requirements
  • A.A.S. in Health Information Technology (required)
  • 2+ years coding experience (required)
  • CCS or CCS-P certification (required)

Estimated Salary:$64,000 - $80,000 per year.
