Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Bryan Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist pharmacists in preparing, distributing, and recording pharmaceuticals according to department policies and guidelines.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a healthcare environment and be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nebraska. A pharmacy technician certification from a State of Nebraska approved agency is preferred.

This role may involve additional responsibilities such as Anesthesia Stocking Technician, Inventory Technician, Medication History Technician, or Sterile Products Technician.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare unit dose medication based on labels generated from pharmacist order entry according to department guidelines.
  • Deliver and exchange patient medications accurately and in a timely manner according to established department guidelines.
  • Fills floor stock orders for deliveries and restocks medications in automated dispensing devices.
  • Operate pharmacy computer system to fill medication replacement orders and missing medication requests.
  • Troubleshoot automated dispensing devices for medications on nursing units and in ancillary areas.
  • Generate barcode labels for medication products following established hospital procedures.
  • Adhere to safety and security procedures to promote a safe and secure environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous work experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nebraska required.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification from a State of Nebraska approved certification agency preferred.
Salary:

$45,000 - $60,000 per year.
