Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Scientific Researcher - Organic Analysis Specialist to join our team at Navarro-ATL in Richland, WA. This position will support our clients in analyzing organic compounds and developing new methods to ensure operational status of analytical equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Analytical Reports: Develop and submit comprehensive reports on analytical findings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Ensure optimal performance of analytical equipment by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and conducting method detection limit studies.
- Provide Direction and Training: Supervise and train analytical technicians to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and client reporting commitments.
- Meet Regulatory Requirements: Participate in inter-laboratory proficiency study programs, audits, and assessments to maintain method accreditation and ensure compliance with US-EPA SW-846 regulations.
- Develop New Methods: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new analytical methods and conduct method qualification studies to improve laboratory efficiency and accuracy.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a technical authority for assigned areas, providing expertise and guidance to colleagues and clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Related Field: A minimum of 2-7 years of directly related experience in organic analysis and method development.
- Knowledge of US-EPA SW-846: Strong understanding of EPA guidelines and regulations, including basic GC and GC/MS analysis.
- Computer Skills: Proficient user of spreadsheet, word processor, and organic data processing programs.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $86,138 - $131,425 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; short- and long-term disability insurance; pension benefits; 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match; life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance; vacation/sick/holiday pay.
Location:
This position is located in Richland, WA, and requires relocation to the area. We offer a relocation allowance for qualifying candidates.
